'He is finally happy': One car out of hundreds stops to rescue fearful dog running along highway for hours, then help him find a family that will change his life for good

All it takes is one person and a little compassion to change a doggo's life for good.

No matter where you're going, we guarantee you that it's nowhere near as important as saving a dog's life. The grocery store can wait, the post office will be open tomorrow, and those sales will come around again, but you might be the only person willing to stop and show kindness to someone who needs it the most.

You'd be surprised how many people are willing to simply drive by and ignore an animal in need. It's easy to put your blinders on and pretend like you didn't see anything. But that's a selfish way to live your life. Imagine if your positions were switched - wouldn't you want someone to stop and offer their help when you had no one else? I would, and that's what I always remind myself of when I see an opportunity to help. Kindness comes back around; the more you give, the more you get. Theoretically, anyway.

Thanks to a video from @lovefurryfriends_rescue, we get to see that same compassion and kindness literally change Pusha's life. After running for who knows how long on the highway, one car finally stopped to rescue him. After some food, they were able to earn his trust and get him in the car. After a vet checkup and a much-needed bath, Pusha was posted online as ready for adoption. An English family saw him and immediately fell in love with his fluffy, playful personality. They adopted him, and now he's living his best doggo life with a little Yorkie sibling and loving pawrents that will never let him be alone, scared, or lost ever again.

Poor Pusha, look how dirty his paws are! He must have been lost for quite a while, and in the forest, no doubt. We don't know if he was abandoned or he ran away, but he must not have had a microchip if they put him up for adoption. This is why it's important to always microchip your pets. Even if you're the most careful person in the world, accidents can still happen, and you don't want to have to say to yourself, “I should have done it” when it's already too late.

Pusha looks pretty comfy and relaxed in his new home! Dogs that are uncomfortable don't sleep like that, so I'm pretty sure he's as happy as can be right about now. Dogs, like all pets, just need a safe space to feel loved. And treats. Lots, and lots of treats.
